Thoughts on remington 700 long range

Yeah well I've had several Remingtons, Winchesters, Brownings, Marlins, ete. They can all shoot, they can all have issues. When the Glock 23 first came out they had some delaminating issues. Now Glocks have a solid reputation. My Remington PSS has been a shooter since 1991. I'd get a rem LR today if I had the spare change.

BTW my buddy took his newly acquired LR 300 WM out last week. Shot sub 1/2 MOA with his handloads, many going in the 0.100's.

I just edited it. Sorry for being a butt.
My apologies also. We are on here to learn from each other. Someone stated earlier this conversation isn't needed. We have a constitution and courts for those things. Wishing you a great rest of the day.

You have a 300 WM? I'm getting one back within a week. The only thing original will be the action and it has been completely reworked.

No .300WM. I have a stock Remington 5R in 6.5CM, bone stock Remington 700 ADL in .30-06, a Remington 870 with literally 10k shells through it, and a full blown custom 700 in .338LM. Only thing left on that rifle is the receiver. I replaced the bolt with a PTG one piece Lapua bolt.

My 5R is consistant .5 MOA shooter and my ADL is right under 1 MOA with Remington corelokts. I believe xsn10s has the 300WM.

No I have a PSS in 308 win. It's been sub 0.5 MOA since 1991. I also have a ADL in 22-250 with a burnt barrel giving up the ghost last season. I have a Rock Creek 260 AI waiting to be screwed on. I'll get to that after rat season. My buddy has a 300 WM LR with is 1/4 MOA average with his handloads.

My buddy's Remington LR in 300 Win Mag. And he just started working up loads.

This is my brother shooting / zeroing my 6.5 CM 5R Gen 2. He covered up the shoot and see target after he was done. 140 grain ELDs, 3 shot group off of bipod, no rear rest, on bench.

.30-06 700 ADL, 150 grain corelokts. 5 shot group, 6th shot was aiming for bullseye. Front and rear bag off bench.

Point of the targets is to give hope to the OP, that his rifle will eventually shoot.

My buddy's rifle might shoot better but he was shooting on a windy day off a bench. And he ranched when he was a kid and got kicked in the face by a cow. He's a little crossed eye now, it's more noticeable when he gets a few drinks in him lol.

I may have a chance to get a decent deal on one of these rifles in 7mm rem mag. What's everyone's thoughts on one of these? Plan would be to shoot it for now with a rebarrel in the near future. I just dont want to walk into a disaster with remingtons quality as of late. I'd be trading my browning x-bolt for it as I'm no longer really happy with the rifle as unlike to shoot long range and that rifle isnt meant for it nor fun to do it with.
I highly suggest you go out to YouTube and search for "Remington under fire". Now make an informed purchase.
