Uncle Larry has lost his mind!

I will disagree as I have been using partitions since the early 90's. Later used the seconds and overruns. $28 has been gone for close to two decades.
People quickly paying inflated prices and accepting it is just the way it is are what I feel are the largest contributors to the artificially inflated prices.
If $1 ea is the current price I will shoot other bullets until they get back down to $35/45 for 50. Lots and lots of lowly bullets kill more animals every day than take it in the butt prices being charged.
Here is Scheels in stock now for 30cal 200 grain AccuBonds. At least Scheels offers free shipping on orders over $50. They come in and out of stock online. There are none in the stores. At least the stores I have been to regularly.

Glad I got all my casting equipment when I did. Tired of all the price gouging. And it's our own side doin it! The lefties are having a party watching us stomp each other to death
I set up several years ago. Purchased casting equipment for all calibers, Most of the FL resizing dies. Gas Checks, and other items. The two things I didn't get was a lead test for hardness and a large amount of casing lead. That was the last time we couldn't get components. I've been think of getting a black powder rifle, and haven't yet. You can make your own black powder. but you need casing die to create the bullets. Included is a manual on casting bullets. That was in Obama first term.

I cast for handguns but not rifles yet!Looking at dies
do it! It's a whole new rabbit hole to dive into! I cast for every single gun I currently have. In 2012 I started building guns specifically for shooting cast. Everything from my daughter's 300aac with 230's to my 475 rum with 525gr. 44 mags, 357, 480r and 475L, 45 and 454, 10mm, 45acp, 458win, 45-70, 3 wildcat rifles, and 2 22mags (pull bullets and seat 65gr cast with hornet dies)

It's a whole other world of interest. Next project for me is building a .475 smokeless muzzleloader on a savage 12bvss... like 2 rabbit holes at once. Thankfully my wife has no idea how much this all costs :D "look how much midway wants for bullets! Arent u glad i shoot cast?" Hehe

Everybody needs to quit buying for a little while. We control our own destiny. We keep paying stupid prices....they keep charging stupid prices.
Yes, primers listed in a 2007 Precision Shooting magazine in a Brunos add listed them at $14 / $16.00 per thou.! not to mention the price of bras back then........only 15 years ago!

Looks like I need to get serious about cast bullets for long guns.
I'll check out dies soon.Which 30 cal dies does everyone use?I like 150 gr for 308 and 30-06 and 180 gr for 300 win mag and 300 Weatherby Mag.

I would like to get into CNC turning solild copper bullets. It's the most realistic way for a guy to make long range bullets for a rifle in his garage outside of casting. The problem with casting is all the rifles I shoot is 2700-3200fps. I don't really have an interest in shooting anything slower unless it's pistol or 450BM. And Barnes bullets shoot so nice it would be cool to turn my own.

I have no problem pushing cast well over 3000fps. Gas checked, powdercoated, and heat treated. Theres no speed limit on lead.

I dont have a cnc, but I turn 50 cal down to .475 on my sb 10. I made a copycat arm for the taper attachment and they turn out really close. Itd be easier to do it from brass rod, but I haven't gotten that far yet. Eventually I will, but I cut a 1000gr mold that matches this bullet and that has me busy now.

"but but it's the people hoarding is the reason why everything is so high."

/sarcasm

but i agree with you. my LGS who i have built a good relationship with, he sold me some IMR3031 for $33 with tax. he even scoffs at the fact primers are at $10 per 100 and understands why i don't buy them at that price.

he's done really well keeping everything reasonable
