At Salmon River Solutions, as I have started shooting in some competitions, I have started designing and offering some competition orientated parts. Currently we have come out with some Ti bolt knobs, and fore end weights.

We have focused on lightweight hunting products but are happy to be branching out into more shooting applications.

How many of the members here actively shoot in competitions?

I currently shoot in and sponsor a local NRL 22LR league, and am shooting in my first NRL Hunter 22LR match the end of this month. Next year I will shoot in a few normal NRL Hunter matches.

Yes, I shoot in competition. Not PRS type, but service rifle sling shooting.

For experimental purposes, I would like to talk to you about making 5/8x24 threaded A1 birdcage flash hider in tungsten, not titanium for the weight. It could double as a tuner by shimming 0.005 at a time, close to 1/8 turn. Can I call you about this sometime?

In the meantime, I just enjoy the Ti Pro 3s I have on these bolt guns ( 2 each 300WM, 280A1, 7RM, 260 Remy, 30-06), plus a couple more on AR1Os.

Regards,
Nez

I went to my first NRL Hunter match in April down in Laramie and am signed up for the same NRL22 match in Billings at the end of the month. See you there!

While not active much now (age and health), I spent decades in shooting competitions: NRA Nat'l Match-High Master, Small Bore Prone, Palma, 1,000yd Prone and BR, Short Range BR, IHMSA, NRA 22 Rifle Silhouettes, a little time in IDPA, Skeet and even Black Powder. For a couple of decades, I was the V.P. of a shooting club, so most any weekend there was something going on there or in other neighboring states.

I do miss those days.

I shoot an occasional PRS match. Would like to shoot in an NRL Hunter or Hunter One match, but haven’t seen any in Texas yet.

Been shooting NRA Silhouette since I was a kid, over 35 years now. Both Smallbore and High Power, this last one being my favorite. We shoot both Standard and Hunter class.

Been using the 7mm-08 for it with 168gr and 150gr Matcking HPBT's up until last year when they became unavailable. Found some 160gr TMK and they also shoot great. Also found a forgotten stash of some Speer 145gr Match HPBT and they also shoot great.

So these have been getting me by but I'm running very low, to the point I will start shooting whatever bullet I can get my hands on. My wife shoots the 162gr A-Max and luckily we have a bunch of those.

Are you going to the National Silhouette Championships in Ridgeway, PA this month?
