Ok so I have a few actions to use. Actions I have:

Mack Bros Evo stainless 308 bolt face
Mack Bros Evo stainless mag bolt face
Defiance Anti 308 bolt face

Rifles I already have: (most are short and all but the 7mm-08 are threaded for hunting suppressed.)

24" 300wsm on a Stiller Tac30 with Proof Sendero light

18" 6.5 CM Sig Cross

16.5" .308 Remington Model 7 threaded

22" 7mm-08 Remington 700 mountainish.
- Will probably rebarrel to 20" threaded

18" .308 Remington 700 5r milspec threaded

18" .308 Barrett Fieldcraft threaded

A couple 20" 6.5 CM Ruger American compacts

16.5" 243 Ruger American compact

So that brings me to where I'm at now.
I'm thinking about ditching the 18" 308s, keeping the 16.5", and building a 20" 308

Building a 22" 6.5 CM or. 20" 243 or a
20" 6 CM

That leaves the mag bolt face ??

Easy....300 MEGA with head stamped brass from ADG. or if you want a short action, 300 SS

I should also add that I have very little experience reloading but I do have a Rock Chucker Supreme and dies for 7mm-08, .308, and 300wsm. Will probably add 6.5CM and .243.
I've seen a lot of talk about 6.5 PRC and 7 saum as well. I have no experience with either. The 300wsm is my first magnum and I've only had it for about 4 months and put about 30 rounds through it.

6.5 PRC checks all the boxes here - good factory ammunition and component availability will surge as 2022 goes along (6.5 PRC was one of the hottest on the market last year, manufacturers took notice!)

What length on the 6.5 PRC? I like to stay short usually but I have enough rifles for tight box blinds. I can reserve the 300wsm and if I build a PRC for more open areas and ladder stands. I haven't really needed more horsepower than my 18" 308 up to this point. The farthest shot of all the places I've hunted so far was around 450 yards. But more never hurts. Since getting a late start in hunting (5years ago) I have liked traveling to hunt some as well so you never know what the future might bring as far as shot opportunities.

I have plenty of.223/556 ar stuff but no bolt guns. Yet another great idea! Pros/cons of 22-243 vs 22CM

Assuming a fast twist in both?

I would go 1:6.5 or 7 and run either 95 smk's or 90 atips. Just do some homework on your twist rate and bullet rpm's because 22-243 is not a jacket friendly cartridge.

Why not the 6.5PRC then? Better performance by a fair bit over what you have already.
