Hi guyz .. I'm new here.. thanks..
i have a question for a ethical shot.
I normally hunt deer but my cousin want me as a partner on his next moose hunting trip.
I use savage long range hunter 111
6.5x284 Norma whit nosler trophy grade
Accubond 130gr.. will it be ok for a moose and at what distance will it be efficient whit 130gr

Pick your shot angle and placement out to whatever range you're confident of hitting its vitals...Ideally a broadside lung shot.

The Europeans have been shooting moose for decades with 6.5's. It will work fine if you're careful... and be far more effective than some 300 what remchester magnum that is poorly placed.

Caveat that i have never shot a moose so it is more of asking a question to those who have, which I think will give OP more specific details.

My guess is that it would be very wise to aim for the crease and stay off the shoulder bone…is that correct?

Correct. Stay of the shoulder bone. The first moose I shot with a 30-06 w/150 gr (as I remember) was directly into the shoulder. Did not penetrate and p......d off the moose. Needed follow up shot.
