If i were after what you are i would load up some 200 grain bullets with the bluntest nose I could find.

Itll shoot through light brush and hit like a train.

Just loaded up some 200 gr partitions and 212 eldx. I will post results next range day I get. Either tomorrow or next weekend.

as a side note, the big round nosed bullets have a reputation for being able to bust through brush. it's not the case. i've seen this tested 2 times and both came to the conclusion that spitzer type bullets went through brush more accurately than blunt round nose. the thin jackets on the round nose was figured to fragment quicker causing the bullets to go off in a different direction more so than the pointy spitzer.

I you would like to go heavy I would load the Barnes, 180gr TTSX boat tail. Barnes is boasting 2300-2400fps out of a 24 inch barrel. I've had good results with BLC2 and W748 powders out of an 18 inch barrel.

NRA did some tests years ago on various size bullets and bullet designs on chopping wood. 6mm rem with 100g spt won.

Twigs, limbs deflect bullets in a hurry at some incredible angles.

For 2400+ I think you'll need to get down to the 200's at least.

A long time ago I did. Not really a benefit to it, especially with new bullets, like Hammer's.

Fun to play with though.

I am now shooting the 152gr HH out of a 20" Barrel at 2828 FPS. They aren't a target bullet, but are the easiest to find a load for I have ever shot. Several rifles, same results.
