Spent a couple range sessions getting the .25-06 set up with a 115 Berger. Wouldn't mind tweaking this a bit but just don't want to burn through the components looking for the next level of ballistic Nirvana. I'll get speeds on it next trip and set it for a 4" MPBR, probably good out to 365 for a dead hold.

A little bit of vertical, have you chrono'ed these loads by chance? Be interesting to see your ES, but you're right, that's chasing diminishing returns. That will work all day long in the field, nice job!

I'm gonna chrono next trip. But Hunting ranges max out for me @ 425 here so I figure I'll be OK. I'm expecting just south of 3,100 on the magnetospeed and will probably sight it 2.9" to 3.1" high at 100 for MPBR. It's not a long range rig so I don't go too crazy with it but it sure is fun to see the crop damage does flip when I smoke 'em!

Don't worry about your E.S. let the target tell you what you need to do.
I shot a 5" group at 500 this weekend with a E.S of 6, most of it was vertical that tells you vertical and E.S don't go hand in hand

Yeah, I'll check the spreads but when you look at it, had I shot a 6th round, it may have formed a pyramid. The Illuminati may have been involved!

I agree with L.Sherm. Also Your es for that round at those speeds at 500yds is not going to be as detrimental as something like a 140 gr 6.5 cal bullet @ 2650 fps.

never mind, I zoomed in and I can see that it is in fact a cooper. They put some beautiful handles on their rifles, that's for sure.

I was pleasantly surprised today shooting my 25-06. 52.0 gr. Imr 4831 w/110 ab. I have just a 23"tube on this rifle. 5 rounds past the Labradar averaged 3203 fps.

Sounds good! I considered the 110 Accubond as well. Been shooting a 115 Nosler BT out of mine for years and decided to change it up a little.
