Copper removal???

This might be a dumb question but if you're using a brass Jag how are you ever going to know if you get all the copper out of your barrel ? I can take a breast Jag and put solvent on a patch and wrap that patch around a brass Jag and it will turn blue . So how am I ever going to know if I get all the copper out of my barrel?

Yep......what The Oregonian said. BUT, I admit I'd like to try one of the jags you've been using!! Sounds fun!!!

Nickle plated jags are available and I've seen aluminum jags too. Don't forget that using a bronze brush will also cause your patches to be blue.
