7mm PRC

Besides the skinny nodes, I started seeing some odd pressure spikes with LRT this morning. Was not cronographing, but I got much higher than pervious pressure signs and the group blew out again. It was about 15° hotter than last session. That's the only variable I can think of.

The RL26 and H1000 groups are strait random charges (book max). I have not actually worked up loads with either of those powders but it looks like I'm going to.

Bottom right is my 6yo son's 6.5 target, walking bullets into the bulls eye.

Great information sharing. The RL26 and H1000 did very well. Like I said in a previous post, consider yourself very fortunate if you have a good inventory of RL26–it is near impossible to find. Thanks for sharing.

It is. And I'll count myself lucky scoring a couple lb from a fellow member here. I am approaching it carefully though. I'd already sworn it off due to high temp pressure spikes in my 300prc. If it shows the same tendency in the 7PRC, I'll send it down the road for my brother's 280. I'm hoping that it may act better in the 7, just because it doesn't show the same attribute in the previously mentioned 280.

So far 195 bergers, adg brass, gm215 primers and 67gr of 7977 has been the best. Need to verify but it should be right around 2800.

Seems like a lot of h1000 coming into stock just not rl26. At least I've got some h1000 to finally test with. 175 eld to start with.

I just went out and shot my 7 PRC with 170 Gr tipped hammer hunters with N560. At 65.5 Gr, it gave me 1/2" groups and an average of 3030 fps out of a 24" barrel. I only shot them at 100 yards and it was just 3 shot. I'm gonna test it out to 800 next and see how it holds up.
That sounds like a great load. I was contemplating getting some N560. I have N165, but it just isn't the powpow for the 7PRC. Be sure to post up the 800y results.

My sweet spot is adg brass, 195 berger, fed gm215m and 67gr of imr 7977 right at 2800fps.

Shoots like a dream out of my rebarreled 700
