New to the forum here and I'm needing some help. Been reloading for two 264wm (Remington and Winchester both 24"). I recently switched to 140 gr accubonds as to keep from tip deformation on the partitions. Using rl 22 starting a 55 gr and going up. Decent 1" group with an occasional flyer. But I'm looking for 1/2" like I was getting with the partitions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Seat your bullets deeper. Accubonds like a good jump to the rifling a lot of the time. I'd try .025, .050 and .075 from the lands with the same powder charge. One should shoot better than the others.

.036 off with win
.075 off with rem
The best I can tell. I took a fired brass, put a bullet in (bullet fit snug in the neck), chambered it, measured, then subtracted the difference between that oal and oal I loaded

OK. Play with the seating. Hopefully you aren't at a maximum charge weight of powder? Next step if this doesn't work, I would switch powder.

I'm not at max load yet. I will play with the depth first and then try moving up in velocity. I have three other powders on hand for that bullet so that is next. Thanks again

Mine shot 140 accubonds at ".020 off the lands, 61 grains of reloder 22, gave 3150 fps and ".75 groups. I've since switched to 140 bergers and reloder 26. Gave up 50 fps, but the higher bc and ".5 groups are nice. 26" 1:9 barrel.

I have a few 264win in the safe. It's been my favorite chambering since I was a kid, long before 6.5's where en vogue. As previously indicated, I also would start with seating depth adjustments. It will be obvious what each rifle likes best.
Nothing really wrong with what you are working with. I have to wonder though, what has you so attracted to staying with R-22? There are several other powder choices that are temperature stabile and would likely yield superior performance. I would be happy to share my experience, if you are interested. There are also several other folks that frequent the forum that have quite a bit of specific knowledge about the 264 win. Welcome to the club.
