If you are sure you didn't pull the shot the left the group .....
Do a seating depth test. Many times you will get a double grouping and the cure is usually a fine tuning of seating depth.
If your powder charge gives you a low es/sd then your next step is to fine tune the seating depth to put the bullets in one hole.

They use 6shots in the example.. I would do three shots.

I assume you are shooting at 100 yds on your testing. Before I went through a ton of experimenting at 100 (if that is where you are testing), I would use your same load to test at 200, preferable 300 yds.
Don't ask me why but I've seen it more than once where a 200 yd group is the same or better than 100 yd group with the Berger VLD's.

Thank you I will move it back!! What kinda groups am I looking for at those ranges, to be considered a working group for 1000 yards or 1200 yards ( that's as far as my range goes)?

1/2 MOA accuracy all the way out puts you in a 10 inch kill zone on a bull at a 1000 yards. Works for me.

So should I just stop at a good 1/2 group and stop trying for one holers? The gun will shoot one holes with 150 gr. Noslers. I was just trying to match that.

Caleb, VLD's are kinda seat sensitive
If your seating depth is the same measuring from the ogive you might try a different primer. I went from this.
To this and all I did was try a different primer, after making sure everything else was the same every time. I consistantely shoot 1/4 moa groups out to 1000. Oh I did go up .2grs of powder also.

Nothing wrong with stacking them in one hole if that floats your boat. Your question was a "working group" at a 1000 yards. Take it out to 1000 yards and shoot a 5 shot 5 inch group on target and have that fairly consistent group to group. In my opinion that is a good load and working group.
VLD's will sometimes lie to you at 100 yards. You should do your final workup at 200 yards or more. I do mine at 335 yards (just where the target ended up) and that has worked well with the Berger bullet.

Guys all this info is great!!!! Thank y'all so much!!! I'm shooting GM215M but I also have a lot of WLR , I will have to try them,when I get the holes a little closer. Also explain (ES/SD)?

Es/sd is the velocity extreme spread and standard deviation.
If you can get the es of 10 or less and the sd in single digits you should have very little vertical at long range.
Of course actual shooting is what proves the load.. Not numbers on a chrono. But it's a good starting point.
I once had a load that shot 5shots in one hole at 100 yds.
Shot it at 565yds and had a huge vertical maybe 10". Very disappointing.
I then shot it through the chrono and had over 40 fps es.
That explained it.
Since then I always do initial work over the chrono..with great results and much less wasted ammo.
