X-caliber carbon fiber barrel

Well guys to say I'm excited is an understatement! Hoping to shoot her this weekend. It makes the 16# weight for the heavy hunter class

Nice. I looked over the rules and my 10FV 25CM Oryx chassied, 26" X-Cal bull, she's a fat girl fatty for Open Heavy! The 6mmCM Sav 10FP 6CM XLE chassis, same barrel, makes weight but, not power factor. So a new X-Cal 24" is going to be coming my way in 25CM, which WAS, going to be a 25PRC or 25SAUM but, brass shortages killed that project, and the 257 Blackjack isn't ready yet!

I've got a 6mm prc with an x-caliber 7.5 twist light palma in the works. I've got some brass but not much.

That will be awesome and luckily you can still find 6 and 6.5 lapua brass

Nice I found 3k 250 magnum primers so I'm giving them a shot in the creed and hope to hell they shoot good. Work great in 300wm not sure in the creed usually used cci200 but only have 400 of those left

Well here are shots 3,4,5 on a clean barrel. It opened up as I kept breaking in the barrel but also the muzzle brake came loose. Which I think affected it a bit. I just threw powder in and seated a bullet so wasn't expecting much with a break in load but the picture is just factory hornady American gunner. Wanting to get load work going this weekend but it's supposed to be like 14-20 degrees so I'll probably wait until the following weekend to finish up load work.

I have a predicament! Both bullets and loads shoot great 😂
40.9 and 41.2 is lapua 139 scenar

40.3 40.6 40.9 is the hornady 140 bthp. Both are grouping under 1/2" guess I'll have to see which shoots better at a distance!

loads are lapua brass cci250 and h4350
Hornady has a big node 40.3-40.9 is 2740-2775fps
Lapua had a bigger spread but lower sd per group 40.9 @2735 and 41.2@2775

You'll love the 25cm. I'm running that for the light hunter class. Tikka action 26" rock creek carbon 7tw. I've got 60 down the pipe but it's drives tacks 18k off the lands and 47.1 gr rl26 goes 3040fps.

I already have a 26"X-Cal bull 17# 25CM chassis hunting-NRL/PRS rifle. Going to put a lighter weight 25CM stick together next.

@highdrum NOT a fan of RL26, toooo volatile for my liking!

Still looking for the perfect powder for 25CM? H4350 works, but it's not quite there to what is really good?!
I'v tested: SW4350, SW Long Rifle, StaBall, Hybrid 100 V.
What I'm going to test is, H4831sc, because it works so well in my 6mmCM w/110SMK, Ramshot Magnum and maybe the LRT that I have?
