Yes, one large black one by itself the first week of archery. Watched it for 5 minutes or so.
Funny, I only saw a white one first week of archery. I was wondering if there was a lot in the area, but it sounds like there are more than a few.

What do you mean by you "only saw a white one"?

Yes there are wolves there, I saw one a couple winters ago just east of Forsythe. Buggers are everywhere!

Where is Monarch area relation to your grid? Just moved here from TN, retired from Army, wanting to get away from ppl and ready to hunt.
You can easily reference the hunt units by the first digit of the number. So, hunt unit 215 is in region 2. Region 2 is based in and around the Missoula area.

thanks, great info.
Go to the MT FWP (Fish Wildlife and Parks) website and you can access all of their current game regulations online. All the regulations have maps corresponding to the regulations for the particular unit per species. Plus, they have stats for units as far as bagging game per unit.
