Purchasing my first suppressor and want to use the new rifle, 7mm PRC for some long range hunting/shooting. also, planning on getting a nice Pelican hard case for it. my question is; if I do not mount the suppressor permanently, so the rifle will fit in the case, will the point of impact change slightly when to suppressor is screwed on and off the rifle sometimes? thanks in advance...

No

I tested this with 2 different set ups.

1. Silencer co SCYTHE-TI direct thread Seekins 6.5PRC. 5 cold bore shots remove and reattach suppressor after each shot. POI change was very minimal if any.

2. Silencer co 762 specwar ASR mount. Custom 308. Same as above only POI change was more significant. Rifle is consistent 1/2-5/8 gun and it was closer to 1 1/4" doing this.

Have not noticed any change whatsoever. I don't switch suppressors from one gun to another, but I take them off and store them in the safe, put them back on and they still shoot in the same place.

I can't even begin to count the numerous times I've mounted and taken off my (6) direct thread TBAC suppressors (14yr) 22 thru 338, some are shared and my POI after zeroed has never changed. It's all about quality that makes that happen.
