Primers

Yep. I switched to large rifle 5 or so years ago and haven't looked back. My neighbor and I did a couple hundred rounds of testing in large mag rifles and all of them had better groups and lower SD with large rifle vs mag rifle.
Lots of guys with great results with mag primers just an fyi of our results.
BR2s and WMGLR gave us most consistent results in 7mm, 300wm, 300nmi, and 7mm Dakota for examples.
I have a brick of 215s in Bellingham if you can find a way.
Now you have me really curious to try both just to see what happens. I'm shooting a 300wm with reloader 26, Hornady 178gr eld-x, with BR-2 primers. I may try to make my way over just so I can try it out.

I tested my RL22 ( vintage 1997 ) today in my 7mm rem mag using Federal Large Rifle Magnum primers and Federal Large Rifle Gold primers with 160gr Hammer Shocks. If this helps.

Thank you sir!

What is the difference between gold medal match and champion primers whether being 210 or 215, mag or non? Is gm better than champion? I ask this only because I've only used cci.

The only difference in gm and non gm is the actual size of the primers. Gm is more consistent than non gm. You can easily tell when seating primer into primer pocket. GM seat easier more consistently. Regarding function, they are identical (according to federal - my experience agrees with Federal).

I've seen in descriptions on Federal site that 210 and 215 give a .210 and .215 on size. What's up with that? Maybe I need to measure cci for explanation?
