I used to have a bunch of info on field judging wind speed and incline. The method for judging incline was using your fingers. Does anyone have this info or know where to find it? I have looked all over the internet. It would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you use a fist at arms length for 5deg incline. so you start at level and go fist by fist and add all the 5's up for total incline.

That was exactly the one I was thinking. Thank you!
The Clock Method works very well too.

12 o'clock and 6 o'clock straight up or straight down

9 o'clock is straight ahead.

Half way in between is 45 degrees or 10:30up 7:30 down.

Half way in between adds or subtracts 22.5 deg.

Unless the range is extreme that will get you very close.

Judging the wind gets more complicated but with a little googling you can find lots of reference material.

Having someone along to wan read the wind and act as a spotter is invaluable.
