You certainly have my sympathies. And the libs wonder why there has been a mass exodus from these socialist wannabe states.

Here is one of my 308 hog getters 4X40 power 65 mm. 24 inch SS match grade barrel. I usually only take 10 and 20 round clips just because of the weight of 30's are bulky. Night hunting is with my scope and laser illuminators.

Of course, I was only joking about the 3 round magazines. But ...... the NY "Safe Act" which Mario Cuomo pushed through actually restricted magazine capacity to 10 rnds but you were limited to only putting 7 rnds in it. And that's no joke.

Possession of a standard 20-30rnd mag is a felony here. Purchasing a new AR will get you life unless you're active PD.
And let's not talk about suppressors because someone may be listening.

All of that and the crime in NYC is at historic levels.

She'll probably try to limit you to straight walled cartridges with a max velocity not to exceed 2000fps. Outlaw any cartridges that exceeds a 100db sound level and of course outlaw suppressors completely.

Hard to believe the state that once led the world in firearms production could ever become so rabidly anti gun.

I truly pity any hunter, shooter, or even gun collector that lives in a blue state.

Oddly enough, the liberals who run virtually everything in NYS believe that the gun laws here are too lax. Many new anti-gun proposals are under consideration and many will get passed. The liberals blame all the homicides on "guns" rather than the "violent criminals" that they, themselves, repeatedly put back on the streets.

Nearly every person arrested for a violent crime and/or a homicide here has one thing in common - they have numerous prior arrests (sometimes exceeding 50 or more) and are released onto the streets only to reoffend. The libs call it diversion; the victims call it insanity.

If you look at my Avatar, you will see perfect shot placement on Texas hogs. Kill count in excess of 2000 swine last 20 yrs. If night hunting use Thermal, allows for followup kills. Budget night hunting IRScope D740 Gen 3 works great also. 308 works great with 168's. Switched to 6.8spc from 308 with higher percentage of DRT instead of hogs running to next pasture to expire, but die they did. If bolt gun is used make sure to practice the bolt throw for rapid application, one is not done in Texas with only one shot. Low power scope with good illumination will work for only one kill. With that technique, you just can't follow where the rest run off to. So make first shot count!

That is why I started buying the bulk 500 boxes of Speer 125 gr TNT Varmint frangible bullets. No problem running them at 3100 fps out of an AR. 308 win just doesn't have enough case capacity for heavy 30 cal to produce DRT unless the shots are spot on.

Im glad I was born and live in TEXAS.. Hell I can have a anything I want if I fill out the paperwork

Any rifle will work, shot placement & penetration is all you need. On an eradication (Hahaha, never eradicate) I used a single shot in 30/06, taking 11 with 9 cartridges. Blessed that day! I was patient and line up shots like grandpa taught me. Have fun!

Soo... By "patient," you mean it took years to take 11 with 9 shots in a single shot rifle. You do know that they run willy-nilly after the first shot, right?
