  • Sort to Been doing my Normal thing. Working up a load for my New 6.5 Creedmoor. Trying out some 130gr Sciroccoo's and 130gr Bergers, 127gr LRX Barnes using H4350 Looking at getting a new Vortex Razor HD LH 3-15. THen I found a new CZ 527 .221 Remington Fireball
What about you.....................hows Rick and Debbie been meaning on going over and checking up on them
shoulder1, I have an older miltary friend that has a ranch outside of Rapid City South Dakota. so I go up their every year or two. When you fly into Rapid the land scape is PD mounds as far as you can see. I've driven up to ranches and ask to hunt and all they ever ask is for me to be careful of the cows or they prefer you to use varmint bullets that blow up on impact so you don't have some ricochet that travels another mile
Are you still parrie dog shooting? My area in Texas has dried up. I'm looking for a new area. Any suggestions?
No you are not going to see speeds that high. I have a 29 inch barrel. The fastest speeds are using mag primers and Reloader 22 or IMR 7828 sc I use home moly coated 150 spbt and 169.5 VLD bullets.

I had my rifle made about 15 years ago and it's on it's 3rd barrel. I originally sent a couple of fire formed cases to RCBS and they made full and neck dies for me.

I have a friend with a 7 mag necked down to .277 something like 75 grains of powder and it has similar speed to mine. It is the law of diminishing returns.
Looks like we are the only two 270 inproved fans in the world.

I was wondering- am I wrong in my estimations of the 270ai cartridge? I don't understand why so many people are upset over the idea of a 270 ai?

If my curent load is at 3225 ( 60 gr h4831) with a 140 gr nosler bt and the improved version gets a 7-8% velocity boost- then shouldn't I see 3400fps +? Especially if I have 64-66 grains of powder and 26: to burn it.

I hope it does because the dies from Redding are 180.00 whoesale.

Please let me know what you think.
