.264 win mag / 106 grainer

Anyone know what velocity to expect from a .264Win Mag running a 106 grainer? I have a 26" barrel.

I think around the 3300 to 3400fps would be attainable.
Have a look through the loading manuals at some pressure tested data to get a better idea.
I have never come across a 106 grain bullet in 6.5mm. May I ask what they are?

Brit.

Recently I saw a very pointy G.S.Custom 106 grain hollow point bullet with bumps instead of grooves like Barnes.

I have a 27 3/4" barrel on my 264 Win mag and I get 3350 with 130 Accubonds and Retumbo powder. You should be able to get at least 3400 fps with your 26" with a 106 gr. I also have never seen or heard of a 106 gr .264 bullet.

I have a photo of a G.S.Custom 6.5mm 106HV and a Sierra 7mm 175 bullet. Here it is.

I know we are dealing with different bearing surfaces, etc. but a 26" 257 wea. can push a 100 gr. to 3600-3650 with a 26" tube, I don't see why a 264 could not gey 3450-3500!

That's a sleek looking bullet!

I just put together a 6mm/264 with no changes to shoulder angle. RL-33 got me 3500 fps from a 26" barrel with a 105 hybrid. Considering the larger bore you should be able to duplicate or even surpass this velocity.

I happen to have a about fifteen pounds of H4831. In a reloading manual there is a load for a 100 grain bullet using this powder going 3,680. I didn't realize I had the manual but am delighted I found it.
