Will Federal's new 6.5 Creedmoor +Peak ammo make the 6.5 Creedmoor a legitimate elk cartridge?

They will supposedly offer a 155gr Tipped Fusion at 2900 fps and a 130gr Terminal Artfnh scent at 3100 fps.
130's are only hitting 2970.... according to the video I watched

This new ammo was clocked in 24" barrel as FYI. YMMV with shorter barrels.

So 80K alloy brass in 6.5CM rifle? I like the idea a lot and think this technology will be transferred in more traditional cartridges over time. This YT discussion is pretty good. Clean dry chamber free of any debris, oils, corrosion absolutely critical to insure the alloy grips the chamber walls and not increase bolt thrust.

Federal is going to offer unfired alloy brass for reloading soon.

Is it an elk rifle? Why not? It has the velocity and bullet construction.

IMO this new ammo cuts the manbun off the shooter....OMG! Somebody had to say it!

So I wonder if there will be a warning on the ammunition?

Federal says:
Clean dry chamber free of any debris, oils, corrosion absolutely critical to insure the alloy grips the chamber walls and not increase bolt thrust.

So seeing rifles from guys I know? No way in hell I would shoot this ammo unless I cleaned and dried the chamber. Not a fan of launching a bolt backwards with 80K cartridge not gripping chamber walls. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Seems like the same question that has been asked for years. 100% of the magic of the creedmore is that people can actually shoot them well. Little bullets in the vitals outperform cannonballs in the guts every single time. I'm not sure why there's a need to stretch it beyond its natural bounds.

Muddy, that's really my only worry about this new cartridge...will it make manbuns come undone? If it does, wokesters are going to shoot it and instantly become old-fashioned long haired hippies like we had in the 60's!

Or go bald? Asking for a friend....As such, I am really liking this technological advancement!!!
