Favorite shotgun

Coincidentally enough a good buddy of mine gave me a 20 gauge with a 26" modified choke as a wedding present, turns out it was only 2000 or so off of the one I had which puts them both made in 1947. That one is in much nicer condition and barely broken in. I'm going to use the pair of them as my main bird hunting shotguns.
That is pretty cool to have a pair that close. Especially when just coincidental. Lots of great shotguns out there but the Model 12 is an icon.

Interested in hearing everyone's favorite shotgun. Manufacture, model and gauge.
Since my gun dog has developed some health issues I didn't get out with my scatter gun last year and probably won't until she passes and I decide to get another.
My favorite shotgun depends on what and where I am hunting but my absolute favorite is my Franchi AL 48 in 20 gauge.
Looking forward to hearing your favorite.
Hard to answer. One I hated, several I tolerated & 3 that I love. My favorite is between a flawless Savage 12 gauge Renegauge, an ancient but very wonderful Remington 12 gauge1100 & a Savage 28 gauge 555E O/U.
The Renegauge has been absolutely foolproof. The handsome 1100 has been perfect for over 40 years. The 28 gauge O/U beauty has certainly made a better shooter of me. All are shooters.

Skeet-1100 in 28ga
Doves-Any Beretta 20ga- the very little recoil is addictive
Crows-Beretta 391 with the kick off system that just takes the pain out of heavy 1 5/8 oz loads doing 1300 fps
coyotes- Rem 11/87 with Factory flush extra full choke patterns 3" #4, 00, and 000 buckshot in 15" patterns at 40 yards

I culled the Benelli's, they just kick way too much, might as well shoot an over/under or pump.

I love my 28 Gauge Fausti O/U. It was the model Cabella had made with up graded wood, and color case hardened receiver. I shoot pheasant every weekend in the late fall and winter at my R and G club, then Chucker partridge in February. Light and fast . 3/4 oz Fiocchi Golden Pheasant !!!

I have probably had ten or fifteen shotguns over the years, some were good, some not so good, some I couldn't miss with, some that I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with even if I was in it. After all of that I now only have two shotguns. One a Remington 1100 20 ga with a skeet barrel for, of course skeet shooting. The other is a Remington 11-87 Premium 12 ga, 3 inch. The 11-87 is one of those that seldom misses a shot despite me. It's currently 1 shot, one turkey for almost a full box of Federal Black Cloud steel magnum 4's. I have an extra full Turkey Choke screwed into the barrel. I use it for anything and everything, even some Trap shooting. It shoots (despite me) in the low 20's and has been responsible for a few 25 straights. Neither of these shotguns are fancy, but they both shoot well and take me along with them which makes me look like a better shot than I am. My forte is really rifles but one does need a scatter gun from time to time.
