Does the Creedmoor really need more??? I don't think so!

I shoot the 124HH as well in my 6.5CM. I could be satisfied with them, but the 85s are too tempting.
I ran the 88 HH in my 6 Creedmoor this past Friday over 3400 FPS with 65 Staball with no pressure. Going to try a faster powder as I ran out of case capacity. See my post earlier in the thread.

Considering all the other $ I spend, the price of bullets is low in my list of cutting expenses. I know not everyone sees it that way. If I can be confident with my shooting and a good end result, the bullet expense doesn't bother me.
Do y'all shoot varmints with them?

My heavy barrel Savage 22-250 shoots Sierra 1365's (about $0.17 each) well enough that I'm confident out to near 500 yards on groundhogs with it.

I think alot of guys take my coments on this caliber wrong . I dont despise 6.5s i just dont find them a viable long range Hunting rifle. I understand they can be spectacular paper punches out to 1000yrds but put a mose or elk out there and i wouldn't trusk them to have take down power. Load them as hot as you want they canot retain that hitting power out to much range
Scandinavians have been killing moose for ages with the 6.5 x 55 for a loooong time. Long, heavy bullets, like 160 gr, and night night. But not my favorite either.

I surely would on yotes and chucks and such. They wouldn't be my choice for a 2 day trip for PD's where I could burn thru 800-1K rounds...But for a couple days of rockchuckin where I might shoot 75-100 rounds a day for sure I would out of my hunting rifles so I could a feel as to how they fly.

I've been toting them in my 22/250AI (70's) this spring for bear, haven't found a suitable volunteer as of yet. I'll probably tote them for elk this fall as well. A 70 to the ribs and our deep freeze will be full up again:)

In 2 days you can shoot 800+ rounds at prairie dogs?

Anyone try the 85 in a Grendel yet? I have the 99 HH and 97 AH to try with H4198. Haven't had the time to test either, so debating adding the 85 to the mix on a 16" upper. Any input would be appreciated. Uses will be hogs, deer and audad.

I will be but have not yet. I have a 24" barreled AR I plan on trying it in and also have a Ruger American bolt gun I will be running it in. Should be a good one for that round! Nieces and grandkids will love shooting that. I'll enjoy spitting out few at a time from the AR also.

I'm here for the eventual Grendel testimonials ... I never shoot my 6.5 CM and have long thought about selling it and getting into a Grendel instead.

When I used to go I took at least 5 rifles. Some cooling while others being shot/cleaned. When the long range bug bit, round counts went WAY down. Still want a 1500 yd shot, but probably won't go any more.
Good times for sure. Similar shoots in Oregon's sage rat fields.
If you want hook a kid on shooting and hunting these type of trips do it.
Just weighing in that this type of thing is real, I've done it as well
