Wsm rifle

308 Hunter 26, I have had and still have WSM/WSSM cartridges.
I personally have had a Win 70 chambered in 300 WSM until it was bought from me by a friend (never had any feeding issues), I currently have two 270 WSM's (Win 70 and Kimber 8400) never had a feeding issue with either of them, I have had all three WSSM cartridges and sold them due to being offered far too much money to keep them. they never gave me a millisecond of problems. all the WSSM's were Model 70's.

if it goes bang and hit the target then it is good for you.. However for hunting the 300 win mag has more range and energy- 7mm mag the same thing. the best of the wsm is the 325 is really a 323 or 8mm because of the energy it develops and with a 200 gr. bullet it will stop the biggest and badist animals in NA
The .325 is fantastic. It is a thumper. And true, mostly if it goes bang it's good for me.

Mrjashu the 6.5creed will never die. The us military is replacing the 308 sniper Rifles with 6.5creeds. They say the 308 effective range is 800 meters and the Creed is 1200 meters. The Creed is not going anywhere but up.

Have to put this edit. It does say sniper support weapon. That's the rifle the spotter carries. Who is still a sniper.

No real issues feeding trouble here either. I have had a couple a-bolts that were not super smooth and once in a while a round would stick. Most of my runs with WSM and WSSM have been with the CRF 70s though. Absolutely love the 6.5x300WSM and 243WSSM.
Want to try a 6.5 wsm myself, probably on 7 mm because of the different shoulder position. If u are inclined i would love to hear about it. Have been debating between 6.5 prc and 6.5 wsm on a build in progress on a mausingfield action. You can reach me at 425 422 0104 in evenings if it works for you.

Hello all Ivhave been reading about couple different wsm calibers and rifles and have seen alot of people say they have feeding problems I am wondering what brand and model rifles in wsm are good rifles that do not have feeding problems.
Thanks
I have a Sako A7 in 300-WSM...I love it
I also have a Browning X-Bolt 7MM-WSM...I love it. Both feed perfectly.
Both rifles are great, with a slight nod to the Sako, not because of the cartridge, but because of the rifle itself.

The wsm line is still hotly debated, this thread as proof. If you want to run long heavy long range bullets, it's going to be more of a challenge in a factory short action rifle. If you are going to build a rifle, it's best to go long action for one of the wsm cartridges. Many people like to build a wsm or saum on a Tikka because the action is longer and it is center feed.

This is the only problem I noticed with WSM's. Reloading longer bullets in standard det.magaz. in a short action rifles. I would get tikka and later build my own WSM rifle with benchmark barrel.

I have two WSM's and had zero feeding issues. Great for all around hunting and shooting in general.

I obviously like the 25wsm but when I did my 6.5 I went with the saum case. I think the 25 would be better on it too in my opinion.

Guess I'm an odd ball, got a Mossberg 4x4 in 300wsm and love it no problems at all. Have been looking at tika and savage to build a 375 wsm.

I have been using the Federal Edge .200 Gr bullet in my Mod 70 .300 WSM. It is producing 1500 ft lb at 800 yds. That's as far as I care to shoot.
