6.5 prc what action

Isn't harder to build off of a tikka action? Meaning the actions are harder to get, also there are less stocks and mags available for these actions...
there are less aftermarket parts available for the Tikka but the number is growing daily and what do you really need there are plenty of AICS magazine options for the Tikka and the factory DBM works just fine. But it's not gonna cost any more to buy a donor rifle than it would to buy a 700 short action and have it machined for a wyatt box which is what you're gonna need for a PRC anyways. There are many options available the Tikka just one of them and I think it's one of the better ones especially when price is considered

I would check into Northland Shooter Supply he has Remington actions that are brand new trued or not trued, he also has Bat actions and Bighorn actions too. Do some research on wyatts extended box mag. Could also look at the 3b Bainey box it allows out to 3.110.

Thank you! Will any tikka donor work? I've always been fascinated by tikkas actions... Can you guide me in the right way for a tikka... I like the m40 style stocks... I was going to go witha 23" barrel... I have to decide on what bullets... Once I get me reloading equipment back up and running it will open up the door for more bullet choices... I seen 156 Berger was recommended....

Tikka

tenacity with a proper freebore

defiance/Borden medium

Ordered based on increasing price

The BadRock Southfork rifle is built by Defiance, the 6.5 prc rifle happens to have a medium length tenacity action and it's quite nice. I wish they'd release that option to the public, but it'd prob cut about half the xm deviant sales.

I have built several rifles on tikka action. Typically try and find someone who will want a barrel for their tikka and either buy 7mm rem mag or 300 win mag. I sell the barrel and the stock and end up paying about 350 for one of my favorite actions. Those two cartridges have the magazine That fits the prc very well

Any tikka with a magnum bolt face. Tikka and 6.5 prc has become my favorite combo. Smooth action, feeds great and there are quite a few stock op now.
The trigger needs nothing more than a new spring for a 14-20 oune trigger that breaks clean with no creep

the south fork action while much like the tenacity is not the same.

I do wish you could buy a southfork action alone. I hope that will come in the future
