If you look at what I said above, I predicted probably 100 years or more before we were carbon free so thats something we agree upon. We also seem to agree on the environmental issue regarding refineries but you have to have environmental regulations to make them as clean as possible and keep them that way. In this case I trust the government far more than I do the industry because I don't want them to cut costs to save money. The BP oil spill is a prime example of where cost cutting that caused an environmental catastrophe.

Yes. I dont believe china yes i know windmills are a scam great idea on paper but they do not work reason behind it is they have to have 30-55mph of wind to function at peak performance thats producing 1.5-2 megawatts thats 1200 homes a year if operations is at 100%. Which they do not. Also the blades are garbage after i think 20 years maybe 25. But anyway they just get buried in the dirt when they are done. Sounds great for the environment. People charge there cars feeling all green. Where does the power come from? Are grid is know where near rated for it. As of now most California is running at 150-200% capacity now add a 50amp breaker for your car.

Yes you are correct. I have seen many Wind Mills put up. The cost for the manufacture Windmill (in China) then you have to add in the Land purchase, Labor to install and to top it of the extreme Maintenace for each Mill. The MAINTENANTCE is way more than the electricity it makes and sells. The Companies that have the contracts with the GOVERMENT yes the Governmental is not with the Power Companies. Who do you think is the Government paying these costs and subsidies? US THE TAXPAYER
Each Windmill will never get a ROI (return on Investment). The people that are making money and benefiting from Wind Power are the Companies that are Contracted by you guessed it TAX PAYERS.
Their answer when fronted that these Wind and Solar will never pay for themselves and have to be subsidies by Taxpayers. It is a investment to get a better less expensive cost for power in the future. Technology will eventually make Wind Mills and Solar cheaper. Yes that is true when the cost of electricity goes up like Fossil Fuels (gas/diesel) for you vehicles and Coal to make Power.
Almost all Solar Pannels or the components along with the Wind Mills are made in CHINA. China is making all the money and laughing at the US.

Also, you are saying that a single windmill operating at peak efficiency can power 1200 homes a year. Thats actually pretty impressive. Just imagine where we could be in 5 years or 10 years. I was reading that the new ones that went online by 2020 can produce 2.75 megawatts. At 42% capacity they can power 940 homes. I prefer solar but the future of windmills looks bright as well. As for California, their renewables have been meeting almost 100% of their demand for electricity for the last month. The majority coming from solar. Even GA has been going solar. They have enough solar to power a half a million homes. Texas is 2nd in the US for solar right behind California. Florida is 3rd. Every state has solar. The future seems very green. I would love to have solar on my house. I have a friend in New York that has solar on his house and his annual electric bill is around $200.
As for China, they are the largest renewable energy investor in the world. Its being reported that they are producing more renewable energy than their grid can handle. They are even talking about putting a solar power plant in space starting in 2028. You can call it fake news all you want but no one else is.
You really are dense. Quit bringing up the PLANdemic as a reason for gas prices being high. The reason gas prices are high is because production is low. Why is production low.......???? Because this administration said on TV that they were gonna end fossil fuels. It's also low because this administration has put an "executive ourder" on every aspect of the oil and gas industry. All done by potus. Also after Russia and OPEC had their little wrestling match and crude prices were extremely low. Oil companies stopped producing because it was cheaper to buy elsewhere.
I agree with some of the other members who said "open the books" and "not really a shortage when I can buy all I want if I have enough money".

And no gas prices won't go down as soon as Joe goes back to the assisted living home. It will take a Republican a year to untangle what the Dems tore up in 4 years, then then a year to get us back on track then 2 years of being ahead. All while having to explain to people who live in lala land how 2+2=4.
