Is it a problem that it takes a few firings on cases to really have them fireformed?

I have done many thousands this way because most of my rifles are not factory chamberings. Trick Speedy taught me. Fill the case about half full with bullseye and put a small amount of cotton from a cotton ball in the neck. Put the round in the rifle while pointing straight up and pull the trigger. Done... Cannot do but a few at a time because of the heat.
