Well boys got scammed on gunbroker(possibly resolved)

You are not alone and I'm sorry to hear you were ripped off. No judgement from me as it happens. Every time it goes sideways for me is when my emotions were way too involved. I try to turn into a robot and cut every emotion out of my decision to spend money or not to spend money. Some say...I have a black heart and no emotion if that is a tell at all.
Yes I'm going to have to learn from this a valuable lesson. I wanted to believe that everybody that had a love for this awesome hobby of reloading was pretty straight forward guys but then I realized that somewhere along the line scammers got word that we were in desperate need of components due to the current jacked up state of affairs we find our country in ! Now I believe I will only do business with my most trusted partners on this forum and a few other I frequent !

In a past life, I was part of an effort to pursue fraud guys but that was before internet spoofing, phishing, and tricky internet scams. I am real old and get hit with scams via phone & email every day without looking for trouble - no privacy. Some scams show high level smarts & IT abilities. Periodically change passwords and check past account accesses. Get good internet security software of interactive type. Best to pass up deal or delete if in doubt. If using Windows, check out fake M-S scams I would like to be a member of a team of high-level scam hunters even if it only involved going out to get coffee & eaties (gofer) every mid AM.

My best wishes and sympathy for Usmcinfantry1.

Unfortunately not much is done about it these days....

I got 10% VA disability for tinnitus. Working on the hearing loss.
I went to the VA for the same thing, and they gave me a prescription for Viagra (no disability). Ever since then Jill say's my hearing is fine and never got any disability. Just need to know how to get paid for Tinnitus like you and I'll be set.

Coyote , if you don't mind could you pm me your number . I know a lady that is a liaison between you and the VA . She will get you what you deserve brother ! She has helped out alot of marines from my area including myself . She has a way of making them change their mind and many of them are now drawing 100 percent where before she worked her magic the va wouldn't budge past 40 Percent .

The problem with gunbroker is they tend to side with sellers not buyers. There have been some notorious scams that went on for years but GB was making fees so they didn't intervene. The one I remember was someone selling fake raufoss rounds....I believe it ended up being hundreds of thousands. Its basically an online cruddy gun show....

I saw a fake Leupold Mark 4 on GB sometime back. Verified it was fake by Leupold. Notified GB 4 times. They didn't do a single thing.
Buyer beware.

Same. Saw a new guy who had three different shotguns and rifles listed for sale. Doing a reverse image search, i discovered they were also listed on a Canadian gun forum by a long time member. He simply stole their pics and descriptions. I notified gb about them, with links to the original sales ads. gb did nothing and people bid on them.

Luton Ammo Shop-
Beware these guys on fb. They always have ammo in stock, even rare stuff, ready to ship. But when I finally got a state out of them, there is no business license. And, the guy gets really ****ed that you are checking on him.

Yeah that really blows. Sorry for the loss. I've bought a few insignificant items like scope rings. & Some shotgun hulls. BUUUT I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO BUY ANY POWDER OR PRIMERS from the scum bag bottom feeders.. I'll use a slingshot and throw rocks if I run outa reloading supplies before I give them a nickel.. I understand supply & demand.. & I'd expect the big box stores to pull that crap.. But NOT SO called fellow shooters.. I hope they choke on it.. OK I'll hush up now

So two days ago my desperation for reloader 19 for the best of me and I bought a pound on gun broker from a guy with 1 a plus review , didn't think for a second he would be a scammer it says verified seller and everything and had multiple listings . So when I contacted him to make payment I proceed to tell him if he has anymore rl19 come available I'll buy more gladly. he said he had 3 more pounds if I wanted them so of course me being me and as bad I need it I said sure thing so I made payment , as soon as payment was made all communication has stopped I can't get a response ! So I finally found a phone number on his gunbroker profile and sent message , the phone owner said that one of his friends sold the powder with his account and he had to get in touch with him for tracking !! Needless to say it's def a scam and I'm out a little over 300 bucks ! The username is fatboi1919. Buyers beware !
FWIW. Get in touch with either/ both your local PD / Postmaster and tell them you want to charge these two butt heads with wire fraud. It might take a while but at least it's an attempt to recover the money from the perps!
