Sherman Wildcat Reloading Data is Here!!!

62 grains oh H1000 gets me 2,990 from a 28-in barrel with Berger 180 hybrids. Haven't messed with 195s yet.
So 56gr as a jumping off point should be safe. Can I safely do .5gr increments or should I still stay in the .2-.3 range? I dont have much experience reloading cartridges in 40gr+ range.

26", 7 1/2" twist. Most guys run pretty heavy barrels. Tikka would work but Remmy is all you need for magazine length. Probably run an accurate mag in it. Alpha and AICS also work. The 131 is 2.860" to the lands.
Exactly what I am gathering parts for as we speak...

56 should be safe for H1000 and a 180gr bullet at magazine length. I think I went up by 0.3gr increments.

Go slow and be careful as always.

Coming up next......

128 Badlands Bulldozer on top of Reloder 26 in Norma brass!!!!

This is from 61-66 grains, velocities to follow!!

I'm just starting to receive my brass and parts for my 6.5SS and 338SS switch barrel build. I'm wondering what people are using for case trimming?

I currently have an LE Wilson, and dont really want to throw money at a new Giraud trimmer, I just dont load in volume, so it really doesnt make sense for me. To use the LE Wilson, I will need to hold the case, is there a holder that works for the fired SS brass? Does the SAUM fired holder work?

6.5 SS, 338 Sherman, and 270 Sherman data added today.

Cody is still playing with the 128 Badlands and not quite at the point of having good news. He will continue to updated on his 270 Sherman thread and when he has better news/ more shooting time I will add the data.

Thanks guys!

I'm not sure, but I ordered the SAUM LE Wilson case holder from Brownells. Will let you know when it gets here.

Settled on a very consistent load for my 7SS

Who did the chambering? What freebore?

Patriot Valley Arms spun up my barrel.
No idea what the reamer specs are but I think I got the longer version. Barely fits in stock ARC magazines (2.96 in center, 2.97 in corners). Not much space to push them out when the throat wears but the 155 Hammer Hunters have a much shorter COAL. A little more space in some modified magazines.

Jumping .02" to lands

Single digit ES

CHAMBER
Max BTO = 2.2290
Max COAL = 2.9625
BTO (less .02)= 2.2090
COAL 2.945

Not a speed demon but very consistent. Load from first pound had an ES 3-4fps
New pound of H1000 has ES of 7.

Learned to use one of the vertical spacers as a length spacer to get my Magnetospeed in the same spot on my suppressor. Too close to the muzzle of the suppressor, ES of same load was 73fps!!

At 567yds, they land on top of each other on steel. Haven't put on paper at distance yet but need to work more on recoil management. I consistently put 2 literally in one hole and one .5-1" away. Totally me.

Might try for 1 last trip to the range before heading to Alaska. Ran out of time to work up the 155 Hammer Hunters.
