I just got a Reading type S die for the first time. I know bushing dies don't size 100% of the neck but this one seems to only be doing 2/3 to 75% of the neck. That seems pretty significant. I have tried flipping the bushing I have tried tightening down the stem all the way and nothing changes. The belt is pushed firmly into the die so there is no way to get any more of the neck sized. Normally I wouldn't think this would be a problem but I'm necking down 300 WinMag cases for a 7-300 WinMag. By the time I neck it all the way down the unsized portion is going to be pretty massive. I am making up dummy rounds to send off for a reamer. I don't want my reamer set up for a funky piece of brass. Any thoughts or help please?
