Weird results. 22-250 Howa
50 gr. Barns.
Redding Bushing die Type "S"
All brass factory 1 time fired.
3 different brands treating me all the same.

Measured loaded round at .2555
So I mail ordered 2 bushings. A .254 and .253

Neither one will shrink the neck enough to hold a bullet. Isn't that a bit extreme?

I don't understand?

Does the brass need annealing.

Annealing will soften and re-structure the brass. It is not needed on once fired brass. Your chamber neck diameter is most likely a bit wide. Use a bushing that will grip the bullet snugly. Measure a fired neck and go .002 - .003" less.
