New accubond lr

I talked with Nosler last week at the Shot Show and they won't be availible till sometime in March
but e stated they are sure the numbers are correct.

I read the specs on Noslers website and don't personally see how the listed b.c. is possible! It isn't even a secant ogive, but a tangent. That is a considerably higher b.c. than my newest 208's which are more streamlined. I will have to see it on targets before I believe it. The jacket is thicker than mine, and the ballistic tip isn't as pointed, besides the tangent ogive.....Rich

Rich, you don't have to ask around to get the answer. You have done way more with bullet design than most here. You already know.

I was hoping I was missing something that someone else was aware of but I think Rhian may have hit on the answer; FAIRIES.......Rich

I suspect the BC, the 1300fps expansion, and the delivery date were determined at happy hour, but I'm likely in the end to try them. I can't help myself. I'd agree with Broz Rich, if you aren't sold likely there is more explaining to do.

I heard their BCs were developed at muzzle velocities less than 100 fps... in case anyone plans to shoot them out of sling shots.

as far as I'm concerned it really doesn't matter to me, what the true BC is versus calculated. These bullets are far better than the original AB, and I have been wishing Nosler would do this for the last 3 years. I now have a better option than the original AB.

It will be interesting to shoot these new LR bullets, I kinda think that maybe they will be better at long range but loose what most guys like about the Accubond up close. I know I can drive the 270 bullet over the recommended top end with my WSM and I'm wondering if we then have Ballistic tip performance which will not be acceptable!!!

Shoving aside all my negativity, I still think they may well be a usefull bullet, as some of you do. I'm thinking the G1 may be more around the .670 range.......Rich
