LRH Special in 7RM

No worries. Yeah, I am pretty jacked up. Titanium rod in my neck, a tendon that tore loose in my shoulder that was never fixed and tendonitis in my right arm. When it is bad, I can't even grip a coffee cup. So, I stay on the low range of calibers. 308 is the highest I can go. Even though the 308 and 270 are pretty close on the recoil chart, I find the 308 is more of a push and the 270 is more of a snap. I can't imagine shooting a 7mm Rem Mag. Have the medics on hand. Haha.

Sorry for the hijack, Nez. I will shut my pie hole and stay on topic.
Buddy I hear ya, I am having to put brakes on my stuff, between my brain, neck and shoulders I just can't absorb what I used to.
Which really sucks😞

Those of you who sold me these parts you should recognize them.

Reamer is a JGS optimized for 175 EH with my own twist. I never liked the 45 degree wall after the neck area going into the freebore. My twist, I cut down the angle to 25. The 223 long range reamerI came up with in 2018 the angle is 10 degrees. Dave Manson came up with his 223 reamer in 2020, he calls T15. Guess what his angle is. He teferred to his 308 reamer, T30. Guess what angle is.

My buddy using my N10, Nez 10 says looking into the chamber, the N10 looks like a cone, instead of a wall.

Last Saturday after finishing a 16 inch carbine with pinned welded 4 inch flash hider, I got bored, so I decided to spin up the 7RM. Finished it the same day. The bolt gun barrel is kids' play in comparison to the 223 M1 barrel from a blank I recently finished. Bolt gun barrels are much easier even compared to 14 barrel from a blank. I was doing my 14 barrel whenever I took a break from that pinned 16 inch carbine.

I intend to use the 175 EH, but may develop loads with monos. I may just amuse BB, and run the 120 HH at warp speed. I still have an unopened box of the 120s. I may tap on the 140 AH that I bought from a member here a couple of years ago.

@nralifer could you switch the 6.5 samples you were to send to 7mm? Thanks. I'll see how they shoot at 1K against the 175 EH. Another club I am a member of, 2 hours from the hut, runs to 1 mile, but have just limited my range to the 1K plates.

Another buddy, Mark Pharr, https://www.tumbleweedsrifles.com/, will bed the action. I hate furniture work, I would rather someone who does it for living than do it myself.

You should bring this with you when you come up this fall. We can stretch her legs.
Awesome build Nez.

Late next week at the earliest. GS will beadblast that shiny surface. He wants to cerakote it, tried to talk him not to.
This is going to be good. I personally like cerakote. I just dropped 2 rifles off to have them done after my paint job started peeling off. Hot barrel and rubber on the Magnetospeed is not a good match for Krylon.

Rifle is all together. My buddy finished it before he heads out to their ranch to shoot up some hogs and 4 legged Coyotes.

He re-bedded the stock and bead blasted the shiny polished barrel and the @livetohunt product 5 port Ti Pro ST.

Changed my mind on the scope, decided to use the spare Vortex HD LHT 3-15X50 with G4i reticle. I thought I had a TT Special, but it is an independence primary. It will do for now.

He engraved the reamer name on the barrel.

I may not have time to do pressure test by this weekend, but for sure will do it early next week.
