Boy that's a tough one! Of the calibers I own, it would be a 3-sided coin toss between the 6.5 PRC, 7mm WSM, or 300 RUM. All are capable calibers from deer to elk and have the legs to reach out and touch something if extended range is needed.

I have the 18' guide gun, great woods gun but I've come to the conclusion that nothing puts deer down like a 12 gauge slug. They almost never run, ever.
