But the proof is in the shooting. Build points:

Rem. 700 blueprinted properly
PT&G bolt with mini-extractor and lightened ejector
Bartlein 5R SS 6mm 1:8" twist barrel #4 Bartlein contour 21" in length
Standard SAAMI chamber
Cadex Light field chassis (no bedding)
Jewell trigger 1 lb.

Nightforce 12-42x56 (set at 42)
Atmosphere = 52*, sunny, no breeze, 400 ft elevation.
No recorded velocity

6mm Creedmoor Black ammunition_1st group_122_resize.jpg

Outside to outside = 0.365 - 0.243 = 0.122" CtC

Here's the surprise. I am and always have been a diehard reloader but...

This is Factory Hornady BLACK ammunition: 6mm Creedmoor, 105gr. HPBT!:D

IMPRESSIVE!

But you missed the dot......:D

It's getting really hard to beat some of the factory ammo that's out there right now. The majority of shooters now could use factory ammo, unless they're shooting an odd chambering or want to use a specific bullet, and not give up anything in the performance department. It's really starting to make me rethink some of the projects I've had planned lately.

Yes I did! ;)

But, in my defense:rolleyes:, this was just bore sighted before I shot this group so once I started the group, I stayed with it.

This is part of the reason I even bothered to post the target. I had to place some more orders for more Black to test in the cartridges we shoot the most. While it may not all work as good as this one did it's worth the cost to try it at least.:)

Yep, every rifle I own shoots factory ammo 1/2 MOA or better....never got in the 0.1's though, lol. I run them all out beyond 1,000 yards with no problems. Modern manufacturing is a beautiful thing!

Help me out here. What am I looking at? That looks to be one shot from a .375? I am guessing the red dot is .5"?

It's a 5-shot group shot at 100 yards.

The red dot, which is just an aiming point, is indeed 1/2".

This started with just bore sighting the rifle but I continued the group.

Thank you. Very interesting shape. I have shot several groups in the .1s and they never looked that perfectly round. Great shooting and great rifle!
