SOLD/EXPIRED How to ship guns?? Do you have to be a dealer???

Michael,

Please post your link.

Here's a C&P from UPS regarding shipping handguns.

Handguns, as defined by 18 U.S.C. § 921,will be accepted for transportation only via UPS Next Day Air Services, specifically, UPS Next Day Air® Early A.M.®, UPS Next Day Air®, and UPS Next Day Air Saver®. (Note: UPS Express CriticalSM Service is not available for firearms).

Looks like as far as UPS is concerned, it has to go overnite.

I'd like to see how you've been getting UPS to bend their rule.

Same here.
Unless, of course, you're not telling them what you're shipping...

In the past few years, I've shipped long guns via UPS with only one hitch. The first one I shipped, I was cheap and sent it via ground within the same zone - basic shipping. It arrived the following day but the box was a bit beat up though the rifle was not damaged. Since then, I have shipped the same way but insure them for well more than they're worth. Two rifles sent on two separate occasions this way have arrived with out so much as a crease in the box or even a slightly dented corner. One shouldn't have to do this but the extra expense was worth the peace of mind.
