Who's shooting hammer hunters. 199 & 214's. Gonna load one of the two in a 300PRC. Just wondering who's using them and what's your load.

N570 granules look like Tic-Tacs don't they? LOL
They do but there is plenty of room in the case with a short drop tube.

Using my wife's $12 amazon nail filer dremel tool with a buffer wheel to vibrate the cases a few seconds. Works great to settle the powder.
I can fit 85 grains before i start to compress

All great info. Only problem, I have none of those powders. And been looking for a long time. Only thing I've been able to aquire is some Magnum, Magpro,and H4831SC
I have used Mag Pro in a 338 Lapua,be careful pressures up quickly!

If you ever find yourself needing to compress and settle...
My 300 PRC is my shinning star. 199gr HH with80.5 gr H10000. I'm worried that I'm going to mess it up somehow.

I was using 79.2 gr of H4831 in my 300 PRC with the HH 199 last fall, but that is a pretty hot load. I would not recommend pushing that hard with H4831 unless you like throwing away your brass.
I was averaging about 3060fps in a 24" barrel and that load consistently shot 1/2MOA. Easily dropped an elk at 100 yards with that load, but I have now acquired slower powders and am getting the same velocity with less pressure. I am really liking N570 and N565.
Assuming you also have a 24" barrel, you should be able get 2950fps with H4831 without sacrificing brass life. Any faster than that and I think you will start seeing some pressure signs.
