First shots

And yes he is 6 months now and has had several firearms purchased already . Heading out to the local gun show if a few minutes , never know what will have to find its new forever home !
"what will have to find its new forever home !"

I can identify with that. Some would refer to it as a "hoarding issue" 😂

LOL!
Mine started about that age. Sadly, nobody made the pint sized "kid" rifles back then.
My kids started with a Ruger "Single Six" w/9" bbl. From there, I moved them to a Ruger Mark IV w/bull bbl.
Guess it did alright! They both became LEO's! The oldest got tired of the constant LEO confrontation and is now a "pipeline operator"!

As my kids grew and began asking questions about guns, I would literally drag out whatever they asked about. They were allowed to touch, hold and operate, without ammo of course, every gun I possessed.
They never picked up guns out of curiosity. They KNEW how they worked and what they would do.
An aluminum drink can full of water and shot point blank with, "It will do the same thing to you!" can make quite an impression!

Started my daughter (and her brothers) at about that age too. She's almost 17 now, a state champion cheerleader, National Honors Society, etc… WAY better than her old-man, that's for sure.

Happens fast my friend… enjoy it.

Thanks all or the kind words. Being a father is a truly rewarding experience.
Truer words were never spoken! My kids are in their 30's now and it feels like what you are doing now, I was doing last week! We did a lot, but I cannot express how I wish we'd have done even more!!! I am green with envy.
