I was using Sweets for quite awhile I had heard and noticed it's a little potent. I decided to try the KG line but I noticed last week in a .270 I've been shooting for a friend that there was a ton of copper in the bore. I've been trying to develope a load for my friends .270 and haven't had any luck. I broke out the sweets on it after noticing how the KG failed to remove the copper and wow so much came out. Now I'm wondering if maybe a couple of those loads had more potential it was just the copper fouling. I was shooting GMX's that in the past seemed to be touchy to too much fouling in my 30-06. Opinions thoughts I know there are a ton of guys out there that way more than I do about this stuff.

That is the first time I ever heard of someone moving away from a cleaning product because it worked to good!!

The only answer I can give is to retest the most promising of the loads you tried and see what happens.

It's hard to react to given the tiny bit of information you have shared.
If KG doesn't work for you, and you don't like Sweets because it works too well, there are still at least a dozen alternatives out there.

I agree completely, you need to revisit all of your load development. Unless it was done before the build up occurred. I have first hand experience with cooper build up ruining AT LEAST the bullet seating testing.

I guess I have heard that Sewets is a pretty harsh chemical and has been known to melt nylon brushes and the smell alone scares me. So that's why I tried the KG but with the KG it shows my no sign of stripping copper like tje blue patches that the Sweets produces. I guess I'm not sure how to tell how or if the KG is working. At the same time I don't want to have to use a chemical harsher than necessary. With that being said in The kg system in my Bartline barrel with Bergers works great and a finishing patch of their oil has given me excellent first round hits at 600. I guess I'll save the sweets for when I'm shooting GMX's

Just use the Sweets and don't look back. I am trying to think of a single compeditive shooter who DOESN'T use Sweets, Barns, or Warthog.....cant think of any!!!!
