Would it stiffen a pencil barrel?
416 stainless steel liner. They have a website, gives ya a bit of info, they're like $800 for a barrel so...

To me it sounds like more fad than function…

Just purchases a Christensen Arms MPR. in 338 Lapua. Would like some feedback on:
Reloading: bullets, powder, best combinations and most accurate. I want to set the gun up for shooting up to approx. 300 yds to 800 yds max.
Changes to the rifle: Scopes, Accessories, Cleaning, Etc.

Proof Research is a good place to start in learning about carbon wrapped barrels. Proof has done a lot of work with the military and has some proprietary & patented processes as a result.
