Hey all, Im going to have a chamfer put on a barrel. What degree do you usually use to improve feeding?

You mean coning of the breech?
If so, your bolt lugs need to match to a set clearance (like 5thou).
I don't think it actually helps -with feeding.

Too big of a chamfer at the chamber opening will allow more brass case to not be supported by the chamber. A 'broken edge' is all that is needed

No chamfer is no bueno. Ive yet to see a mag fed prs rifle without a chamfer
It all depends on what the barrels is now and what cartridge you are shooting,
You also need to look at the feed ramp from the Action.
The most issues that were brought to me were for feed ramps to clear up feeding issues.

This rifle hits just under the chamber no matter what I do to the mag. Just a little angle would do it.
