Is the Giraud still the best? What about the Henderson. The Henderson seems like it's really nice, a little less expensive too. My biggest concern is being able to trim all of the stuff that I reload for, one of which is a 325 WSM. As many know, trimming is an arduous task that many of us despise. What's something that will make it easier and less painful? I have an RCBS manual case trimmer now and I'm just not happy with the setup and accuracy of it. I'd like to get something that will make my life easier and be able to trim a variety of cases from .17 to .323 (338 at some point, possibly larger too). I'd like to hear some advice, I was looking at the Lyman electric trimmer but I think spending some good money on something might be worth it.

I recently acquired the Gen3 Henderson,,,,You should check their site where they list all the caliber/cartridge collets/trimmer heads……I'm TOTALLY satisfied with the accuracy, and case mouth finishing all in one step. Very fast and easy once you adjust the trim rods for your cartridge(s). Just did 100 6.5x284 cases last night…In less then 20 minutes…ALL perfect at 2.61" !!!

I still trim by hand on an LE Wilson. It's very accurate and precise, but very time consuming.

One thing I've wondered about the Giraud is what constitutes a "caliber conversion kit" ie what all needs to be bought to move from say 6 Dasher to 300 PRC. Buy the 6 Dasher complete machine plus...... case holder, cutter head, lock ring. Anything else?

Kind of like Chav I'd need everything from .204 to .375 for almost 2 dozen cartridges, the cost has been what's held me up from seriously considering.

After years of struggling with the inconsistency of my RCBS trimmer, I made the switch to LE Wilson and could not be happier. The addition of a power source (electric screwdriver) really speeds up the procedd.

From what I've seen on YouTube, the Geraud and Henderson are fine trimmers and I would love to have one, but I just could not justify the cost for the 1200 or so pieces of rifle brass I process each year.

Buy Giraud and get the trim dies as needed and be done with it, Have a pile of less expensive trimmers in a box that total twice what I paid for Giraud. Not to mention customer service is great....

Lots of videos out there on both the Giraud and Henderson. I chose the Henderson and it is truly a pleasure to work. I'm sure the Giraud is very nice as well. I used an LE Wilson for years but the powered units make it so much easier.

The old and wise saying "buy once and cry once" continues to ring true. I went with the LE Wilson when I started reloading. By the time you buy the case holders and then have to buy another trimmer for 50 cal, you have spent a chunk of change. They work, but are slow. After you get setup the first time, it is definitely hard to justify the upgrade.

Lyman electric trimmer, accurate and fast.

Used Henderson for over a year now and it is awesome. Timed it the other day at 24 per minute all well within .001". Installed a rail to the front of my bench that holds a bin under the trimmer. Pick up a case place it in the chuck, trim and it drops in the bin with smooth and shiny case mouth. Can't speak to others. Not sure how it could get any better.

I got a Gen3 Henderon last year. You can change out the trim rod to another one for a different case. After I anneal and size I put the cases into the trimmer to reset the length. It's quick and done. You are done guessing if your case are correct, and they all match. The case is beveled both ways. Your cases are more consistent.
