Barrel swaping

Someone gave me an old ruger m77 in .300 win mag but the barrel is in very bad shape. Surfing the web I found out it´s virtually impossible to get an M77 takeoff barrel so the question here is:

Is it possible to fit a rem 700 takeoff on the M77 Action??

Sure, if you have a lathe. The Rem 700 tennon is bigger than a Ruger 77. Same thread count just smaller by .062".
