Hey Guys,

Has anyone used the 240 gr SMK in a 300 RUM. I am debating in buying another barrel in a 300 RUM 1:8 twist for shooting these pills. The B.C. for these bullets are great and I could probably get good FPS out of them. Also I am debating on barrel length between 28" and 30". What are your opinions.

Thanks

I'm running them in my 300 RUM. Its a 28" 10 twist, haven't got a chance to chrono them yet but it likes them run with H1000. So far worked up to 86gr with no pressure signs. Need to chrono and stretch her out more though.

I have ran them in my 10 twist 300rum over 86gr of retumbo around 2770fps. Accuracy was marginal at 100yards. But great at 300and beyond. But I just could not get them to overcome the 210gr smk due the the 210s far superior b.c. You will definitely want to use a breaked rifle though. They push a little on their way out.

I use them in a 30-378 with 83grh1000 and group 6 " at 1000yds with little testing. Somebody posted about 6months ago that they don't perform well on deer.
