Looking for velocity results with the 240 gr SMK in the 300 RUM....

I have been testing my 300 Allen Xpress test rifle and wanted to get an idea on comparision of its performance to that of the 300 RUM when using bullets in the weight class of the 240 gr SMK.

Mainly interested in barrel lengths of around 30" for a more head to head comparision.

Only need the velocity results for the top end loads in your rifles.

I'm getting 2900fps using 88grs of Retumbo out of my 300 RUM with a 29" Lilja 6 groove.
After looking at Quick Load I'm going to try US869 hoping to achieve 3000fps, should be doable seeing it backs up my Retumbo load.

Thank you, what twist are you using?

It looks like US869 may be a good choice in my 300 AX as well. WC872 runs out of case capacity before pressuring out.
