6.5 prc elk bullet poll!

Let's take a vote round 2! Elk hunting with the 6.5 prc out to 500 yards max
Options are 124 hammer hunter at 3400fps or the 156 Berger at 2900fps groups are the pretty much the same. Or 143 eldx factory loads at 3000fps

I've had great success with 140 bergers on mulies. No elk but I wouldn't hesitate. Shooting them at 3125. Just a consideration if your looking at bergers.

I have killed 2 cow elk with 122gr 6.5 PVA Cayuga's at 3390fps 436 yards and 543 yards. One shot each.

I watched a friend of mine take a big aoudad out of palo duro canyon with the eldms. No elk but still a stout animal. He was quartering to us hard, the bullet punched through 3/4 of the body length and exited the front of his hind quarter.

To the OP @djprice91

Would it had been a better poll if you had the Nosler 130 Accubond, Swift 130 scirocco or Sierra 130 TGK and the 123 Hammer for under 500 yds? As the Berger and Hornady are clearly designed for longer shots past 500 yds where they can take advantage of their high BC, I'm not saying they wouldn't perform at close range but it would make a better apples to apples comparison. Also I'm not saying anything negative about any of the bullets because they're ALL great bullets just designed for different applications…. this is just my opinion.
