6.5 156 EOL

Right after I saw the post about grafs I ordered two boxes and it said they were still in stock.... fingers crossed I got them...
backordered 4 boxes from midway as well.

Looks like they are 1.512" oal. As a point of interest. Hoping mine arrive later this week.

I just orderd them from midway with free shipping
got some loaded up! 49 grains of rl26 in my 26 wssm Imp, lets see if I can get them around 2950

6.5-06, 18" barrel, 8 twist, 8.25 pounds, throat eroded, oal 3.44 and jumping about .06.
54 grains RL26 2700, .5" groups so far.
55 grains RL26 2760, no pressure signs.

Shooting this rig suppressed, felt recoil is about like a 223. Accuracy is there so far at a lower node and not sure how high I want to run it. At 2700 fps and at my altitude, its looking pretty good on paper. Will mess some more with that 54 grain load at distance.

These things have a long bearing surface, appear to need 250 freebore to keep most the bearing surface out of powder space. My 6.5saum has 155 FB and a 7.5tw barrel, I'll have to try em out.
I would not consider them to have a long bearing surface. The 147s pressure out at a lower velocity than the 156s in my .188 freebore 6.5 PRC.
All of these are in a .188 PRC chamber.
156 .025 off the lands.
