The point of the exercise has been to achieve magnum ballistics from a standard bolt face. This is about maximizing efficiency, rather than searching out a bigger hammer.
Nothing Efficient about paying $65 bucks for some Ammo only to break it down & then Fire Form. Nobody selling RWS in these parts, yet 300 Win Mag is EVERYWHERE. Just reeling things in a bit. I love the Wildcats.

Oops Edited because I had to look for my .338-9.3x64 Brenneke Wildcat info. It's like I said: I love the Wildcats. (Not trolling, I can see through all the free advertising though.) Next thing this will become a Left leaning Political post. Awe Shucks, carry on. Sounds like a cool Cat.

How is this relevant, seems more like your trolling this guy build thread for some reason?

RWS is not required to make the Sherman work. I have done very well with Norma brass, which is not difficult to obtain. RWS does offer an edge in toughness/durability, which can be worthwhile under certain conditions and in certain combinations. In exploring the art of the possible, it is worthwhile to me to have it.

This particular wildcat is not for everyone. If one is starting with a clean sheet of paper, the SS cartridges are a better choice than the long action Sherman wildcats. If your particular interests lie elsewhere, that is perfectly understandable. It is also of little importance.
