300 Win mag velocities

Hello everyone,

What kind of velocities are you guys seeing with the Berger 230 and 215 hybrids out of a 300 win mag?

I'm running the 215 at a moderate load of h1000 out of a 26 inch barrel at 2830

26 inch barrel 215 hybrids, 2850 FPS with 68.5 reloader 22.

 

[Broz]

28" barrel and H-1000.

215's = 3035 fps
230's = 2775 fps

210 Hunting VLD 79gr Retumbo 2905 FPS
215 Hybrid 77.8 Retumbo 2865 FPS

With a 26" factory bbl and 215s, expect 2850 give or take 20 fps. Anything more and your brass life will suffer.

 

[BEEMAN]

26" Brux with 215's at 3000 fps. Also using H1000.
