That is one heck of a bear and something to really be proud of for a public land, unguided hunt!!Thanks for the love RichIt was pretty wild to say the least. MV is too ridiculous to post for the nay sayers lol but @ 7k' it was 7 MOA holdover, impact velocity ~ 2,540 impact energy ~1,440 ft/lbs. He was broadside, didn't recover the bullet it went through n through and decimated the vitals. Bang, flop, death moan. Couldn't have gone better. I attached a few pictures of the ol bruin. I'm very curious to get his age results back

Full mount would be sweeeeet lol! So expensive though. As of now it's just being tanned but I'd love to mount him

How did the hide measure? Although a big hide doesn't mean a big skull.
Sometimes a mount is easier to place, depending on your house.

6'6" from nose to tail. He actually seems to have a huge skull compared to his body… ol jughead

Any update on official score? Any more pics of the bear after it was tanned?
My 13 year old son and I shoot a 25sst built on a T3x. We have harvested three bull elk and two muley bucks with it.
