.2-.3 100 yard cold bore challenge

They are two inch targets. All I had available. New truck, gotta put all the old junk back in. Luckily I had those.

I'm just playing. Good shooting. It's nice to see targets with just the holes. I usually place a handful of dimes around the "group" :)

Haha I took the ribbing, no worries. Using a 14 power, those 2 inchers are nice for 300 yard shooting. Trying to find a cheap one inch sticker. I use Lymans right now, and I get those pieces of cardboard from work for nothing. All I really shoot on.

I'm a cheap.... person. I get them on amazon. Different colors in the pack

The 6-47 lapua shoots at 600 too..

Reading a thread about groups in the .2-.3s I thought I'd create an online challenge.
Shoot five shots into a 1" circle at 100 yards, including a cold bore shot.
Feel free to post targets from multiple rifles.
Let's keep the groups on the target as best we can, a good zero is as important as group size.
Fire at any pace you want, anyway you want. Shoot a flyer or two please post anyways.
The only stipulation is the group must be shot after reading this thread and deciding to participate in the challenge.
Also if you wish, please describe your fundamentals in shooting the group, it's a great way to learn from each other.
So next time ur at the range, hang a target and show us how ur rifle and you do.
Good luck.

This seemed like a neat challenge, so I gave it a shot.....pun intended. I went .375"......then fired my second shot and opened up the group a bit! :D memtb

I'll give it a whirl asap. Considering some of reading I've done on the site I know I'll be way off but I need the practice and this is a good goal.

Finally had a minute to try some handloads in my new Proof 6mm creedmoor barrel Nick at Strait Jacket chambered for my Bighorn Tl3. 3 5 shot groups at 100 yards with 88 grain berger varmint bullets and 4350. The number beside the outlying shot represents the ordered it was fired. 1" stickers. I adjusted my zero for the last group with 43.5 grs to try and keep it on the sticker, and I pulled it off barley haha

42.5 gr load .65"
43 gr load .65"
43.5 load .5"
I shoot off a bipod and rear bag. And yes that's a flatbed trailer I'm on. Snow gets a little deep here this time of year

I think I'll try that 43.5 load on a coyote and see what kinda damage it does before I do anymore.

Shot the .260 this am and this afternoon.
2" post it sticky, aiming at top and bottom tip of diamond. Top was AM shots, adjusted zero a hair, left the rifle and ammo out all day in the cold (34 degrees) and shot final 3 this evening (bottom of diamond). Putting a picture of sticky removed so you can see there's no camer tricks

22-250, I've put 5 shots with this load and rife like the 3, but it's had a ton of rounds through it.
